First GEARING-Roles Annual Conference On Recruitment, Retention and Career Progression of Women in Academia

SAVE THE DATE! Join us for our first annual conference, taking place on the 27th of November at the University of Lisbon in Portugal

GEARING-Roles is a four-year European Commission funded project that aims to increase gender equality in research institutions. The project is a strong multidisciplinary consortium of 10 European academic and non-academic partners that will design, implement, and evaluate 6 Gender Equality Plans (GEPs) following the steps described in the GEAR tool (define, plan, act and check). The objective of the project is to challenge and transform gender roles and identities linked to professional careers, and work towards real institutional change.

About the Conference

Recruitment, Retention and Career Progression of Women in Academia is the main topic under discussion in the first GEARING ROLES annual conference.

The conference seeks to stimulate active and reciprocal exchanges between our partners, sister projects, experts on gender equality, students, graduates, researchers, active stakeholders and policy makers.

We invite those interested in gender equality debates and practices in academia to join us at this exciting event.

Local Organizer: IGOT, Universidade de Lisboa
